The V‑42 Stiletto combat knife was born in the crucible of World War II, crafted specifically for the First Special Service Force (FSSF) — an elite joint unit of American and Canadian commandos later known as the Devil’s Brigade. Renowned for their stealth, bravery, and ruthless effectiveness, the Devil’s Brigade operated in some of the war’s harshest environments, from the snowbound Aleutian Islands to the rugged mountains of Italy and the forests of Southern France.

Our V-42 Stiletto daggers are not mass-produced. Each knife is hand-forged using traditional methods passed down through generations. We use classic techniques like hammer shaping and leather wrapping, along with advanced protection tools to ensure accuracy in every detail.

We blend old-school handcrafting with modern equipment to maintain precision and achieve the correct vintage look. Every piece is carefully balanced and shaped to reflect the original issued V-42 design carried by the First Special Service Force. The final product looks like it came from the WWII era but performs to today’s durability standards.

Many modern sellers use powder coating to make the blade jet black, but this finish does not reflect the true look of the original V-42 Case Stiletto. Over time, powder coating starts to flake, fade, and degrade, making the dagger look worn and eventually useless. We avoid these shortcuts completely. Instead, we stay loyal to traditional finishing methods that give each dagger its authentic aged steel tone, just like those carried in real wartime conditions.
